Medicaid is a vital lifeline for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities that keeps them healthy, stable, and thriving. It provides health care coverage for essential medical services, supports at home and in the community through state waiver programs, and funding to schools for many services that help students with disabilities. Unfortunately, there are many efforts to cut Medicaid at the federal and state level, and NDSC is pushing back. Members of NDSC’s Policy and Advocacy team will deliver a powerful, eye-opening presentation about what’s at stake, potential implications of H.R. 1, and why protecting Medicaid is more important than ever. Learn how you can help with NDSC’s advocacy efforts and use your own voices to stand up, speak out, and fight for Medicaid.
